Colin Powell supports Obama; Sununu, McCain Please go mental hospital
Yesterday, Colin Powell supported Barack Obama for president, explaining that he believes the incumbent has done a good job on the economy given the situation he was handed.
As a former secretary of state and former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Powell also took very serious issues with the foreign policy stances of Obama’s opponent, Mitt Romney, saying that ” I’m not sure which Governor Romney we would be respect to foreign policy”:

President Obama today said he was “proud” and “humbled” to learn he has the support of former Secretary of State Colin Powell, who announced this morning that he is endorsing Obama for a second term.“I’m grateful to him for his lifetime of service to his country both as a soldier and as a diplomat,” the president told 15,000 Virginians this afternoon. “And every brave American who wears this uniform of this country should know that as long as I’m your commander in chief, we will sustain the strongest military the world has ever known. We will be relentless in pursuit of our enemies. Those are promises I’ve kept.”

New Crossroads spot features parents of cancer-stricken son whom Romney helped

Rev. Jackson: No debate about the poor
"The Rev. Jesse Jackson" expressed disappointment Wednesday that the presidential and vice presidential debates have so far ignored several key problems - including poverty and gun violence - facing the country.“[In] each of three debates, [the candidates] spent an enormous amount of time arguing about reconciling 5 trillion dollars, a number so vast it’s incomprehensible,” he said in an interview with POLITICO. “They’re arguing about the 5 trillion dollars and the tax plan but not about the impact of foreclosed housing driving the middle class into poverty.”
USADA's Lance Armstrong probe met opposition from politicians including Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner
National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), which provides USADA with an annual $9 million federal grant, arguing that “Congress has no role in determining whether an individual athlete doped, but we do have a great interest in how taxpayer money is spent."The congressman went further, referencing a well-worn rebuttal to the accusations that Armstrong had an extensive doping past.
