Jerky teen kill octopus for art project

Jacques Cousteau he ain't. Dylan Mayer of Seattle dragged a giant octopus out of Puget Sound and got the diving community's wet suits in a knot.
Octopuses are typically observed there, not hunted, although the 19-year-old's catch was legal (he had a permit). What set witnesses off was that the octopus was still alive when he tossed it in his truck and allegedly boasted about taking it from its unhatched young. "She was on eggs and now she's not," he reportedly said (a game warden has since confirmed the creature was male). Mayer said that he killed the 80-pound cephalopod for its meat and for an art project. Um, you've never heard of a Bing image search? [Source]
