CSE-Semaphore’s "RTU" Product Line Validated for Use in Hazardous Areas


The factory has already started shipping the approved products. This approval is valid for configurations having integral displays, while other Wireless Monitor configurations have earlier been validated for operation in Class I, division 1 hazardous areas.

This ultra low-power, battery-operated TBox Wireless Monitor can be effectively installed and deployed in remote areas, where it oversees the assets in the environmental, chemical, oil & gas, utility, transportation, and water / wastewater industries. The new ratings multiplies the application potential for this IP68-rated, light-weight TBox WM integrated package.

Class I, division 1 and division 2 approvals validate TBox WM for reliable operation in hazardous environments similar to those in sewer lines present in the wastewater treatment industry and in natural gas installations, or digesters.

Based on a novel, decentralized architecture, TBox can facilitate the absolute integration of data logging, programmable automation and IP telemetry alarm management within a single, robust package. Web technologies are however leveraged by user friendly and powerful platforms that also support push messaging through e-mail, FTP, and SMS text. With simple configuration features, TBox systems ensure low costs compared to traditional PLC and SCADA architectures.

CSE-Semaphore's RTU products can be suitably used for a wide range of monitoring and control applications in the transportation, broadcast / telecom, asset management, power, oil & gas, and water or wastewater industries.
