Mila Kunis named Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive 2012


Another reason to be jealous of Ashton Kutcher: His rumored girlfriend, Mila Kunis, has just been named the Sexiest Woman Alive 2012 by Esquire magazine.

Kunis, who was spotted around metro Detroit last year during filming of director Sam Raimi's upcoming "Oz: The Great and Powerful," grabbed the hot-stuff crown from last year's winner, R&B singing sensation Rihanna.

Esquire editors also highlighted 23 other women they loved this year, including Katie Holmes; bad "Twilight" girl Kristen Stewart; former "Detroit 1-8-7" star Natalie Martinez, and actress Olivia Munn, who stars on "Newsroom" with Jeff Daniels.



Allen retiring from Fox
Veteran news reporter Al Allen, a staple of morning broadcasting in the Motor City, says he's making plans to retire after 28 years with WJBK-TV (Channel 2).

Representatives from the local Fox affiliate confirmed to Names & Faces on Monday that Allen's last newscast is scheduled for Dec. 7. For the latest about the well-respected reporter's swan song, head to .

• Lois Smith, the longtime New York City publicist who worked with celebrities including Marilyn Monroe, Robert Redford and Martin Scorsese, died Sunday, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Smith, 84, died in a hospital in Hebron, Maine, of a brain hemorrhage she experienced after an accidental fall.

• Jack Osbourne and Lisa Stelly tied the knot in Hawaii on Sunday, www.usmagazine.com reports. In April, Stelly and the 26-year-old son of legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne and "America's Got Talent" judge Sharon Osbourne welcomed their first child together, daughter Pearl. Jack Osbourne announced in June that he has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

• Country-popster LeAnn Rimes took to Twitter on Saturday to explain that she had to cancel a concert in Nevada on Friday because of a massive dental infection that sent her to the emergency room. According to www.gossipcop.com, Rimes had dental surgery back in February and canceled a performance in July because of a root canal. At the end of August, she revealed that she had voluntarily entered a 30-day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress.

• Pop star Ke$ha, 25, will be releasing an illustrated memoir next month, publisher Touchstone said Monday. The "TiK ToK" singer says in a statement that "it's not all glamorous and it's not all pretty" but that the stories and images she'll share in the book titled "My Crazy Beautiful Life" are "all real." It's due out Nov. 20, just days before the Nov. 30 release of her new album, "Warrior."

• The Nov. 13 concert by Bob Dylan & His Band (with opener Mark Knopfler) at the Palace of Auburn Hills has been moved to the Fox Theatre in Detroit, promoters said Monday. Because of the venue change and different seating configurations, tickets purchased for the concert at the Palace will not be honored Nov. 13 at the Fox. People who bought tickets online through Ticketmaster will get automatic refunds. Refunds also will be available at the point of purchase.

• The Tony-nominated production " Cathy Rigby Is Peter Pan!" will touch down for five shows April 19-21 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, promoters said Monday. Tickets ($30-$70) go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

• Tickets ($29.50-$99.50) for the Pink's concert March 5 at the Palace of Auburn Hills will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, promoters announced Monday. There is an eight-ticket limit for the pop star's metro Detroit date.

• Tickets ($49.50) for comedian Jeff Dunham's Dec. 28 concert at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, promoters announced.

• Stand-up comic Lisa Lampanelli is scheduled to perform Dec. 8 at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor, Live Nation said Monday. Tickets for the show are $39.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

1. ‘Girls’ star gets book deal

Random House has acquired Lena Dunham’s essay collection, “Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She’s Learned,” for more than $3.5?million, the New York Times reports. No word yet on when the property from the 26-year-old creator and star of HBO’s “Girls” will be published.

2. ‘50 Shades’ movie coming

Good news, frisky fans of E.L. James’ “Fifty Shades of Grey”: Focus Features announced Monday that Kelly Marcel has been hired to write the screenplay adaptation of the sexy best-seller. Marcel’s credits include “Saving Mr. Banks,” the upcoming Tom Hanks’ film about the making of “Mary Poppins.”

3. DeVito, Perlman splitting

After 30 years of marriage, Danny DeVito (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”), left, and Rhea Perlman (“Cheers”) are separating, the New York Post’s Page Six reports. The couple, who have three children, also produced films like “Pulp Fiction” through their company Jersey Films.
