iPad Mini has become the most eagerly awaited Apple product especially after the release of iPhone 5. When the New iPad was released it was heavier and stouter than its predecessor. It also had to face some criticism by users who felt that they had to carry the extra weight in their bags. However it seems Apple has taken note of the displeasure of its users and has fast tracked the release of the iPad Mini. The name of the iPad Mini seems to generate a fair degree of ambiguity and no one knows how it will be known when it is released-Maybe it will be known as iPad Nano!

Rumors about the release of the iPad Mini later this year abound and with the Amazon Kindle Fire stealing the bang from Apple with the introduction of its budget Tablet and Google to follow suit with a tablet which is rumored to cost $99, the going is not easy for the iPad Mini.
When Steve Jobs was at the helm of affairs at Apple, he firmly struck down any suggestion for a smaller iPad. The reason- They will be too small to have great applications. However Apple has quickly adapted to the new market scenario and has decided to introduce the ipad Min to get a share of the market in the budget tablet section.
There have been a lot of talks and rumors are flying thick about the ipad Mini. So now we have a gist of all the rumors all rolled in one so that no tit bit is left.
The first update is a new report which focuses on the prospects of an iPad Mini and its contribution to the kitty of Apple. Analyst Ben A. Reitzes has concluded that the new iPad Mini will not undermine the iPad sales since the Mini will be targeted for mainly gamers and the educational segment. Apple will call its budget iPad the iPad Mini and this has been confirmed by a Japanese site.
There is still no news from Apple about the impending launch of iPad Mini. However rumors suggest that there will be an official gala launch event followed by the opening of the sale sometime in the fourth quarter of 2012. However it will be before Christmas to cash in on the festive sentiments.
When the WWDC event was announced to be organized from 11th to 15th June, everyone expected the Techno Giant to announce the iPad Mini but these speculations were unfounded.
AllThingsD has forecast that the iPad Mini will be launched in October. According to AllThingsD Apple will first devote all its energy in consolidating the iPhone 5 before it will focus on the unveiling of the iPad Mini which will most probably occur in October. It will probably have a display of less than 8 inches.
It could also be possible that stocks will not be ready in September since all the energy will be focused on fulfilling the demand of iPhone 5 hence a November release is also plausible.
It has been rumored that Foxconn which was told to be the only manufacturer of iPad Mini has lost 60 percent of the total devices to be manufactured to Chinese manufacturer Pegatron. Both the manufacturers will between them manufacture more than 6 million units for launch by the fourth quarter of 2012.
The iPad Mini will be significantly cheaper than the normal iPad and the price is pegged to be in between $249-$299 and the screen will be 7.85-inch display.
